A key element of delivering a managed service is technology allowing CCSI’s engineers to remotely and securely monitor, maintain and manage desktops, servers, network devices and applications at your locations over the Internet.  Furthermore, the chosen technology should be easy to install and configure, should not require a VPN connection at the client site, must support NAT technologies for the firewall, and must be in integrated product that does not require multiple installations of different products.

CCSI Ultimate Desktop Care and CCSI Remote Server Watch are hosted remote management tools which meets the criteria of a mature managed services and remote management delivery platform. Setting up our system is as easy as filling out a web form and installing agents on unmanaged desktops and servers. We do not have to purchase hardware to host the system, track license usage or manage the software. CCSI engineers can use the product to manage your desktops, servers, SNMP network devices and applications from a single web portal and remote administration console. All of the components operate outbound over port 443 utilizing 128-bit encrypted connections. IT does not require firewall or NAT reconfiguration or any in-bound access.

Desktop/Laptop Agent – CCSI Ultimate Desktop Care is an agent based system.  Every managed desktop or laptop must have the CCSI monitoring agent installed. The agents can be deployed manually, with a remote deployment tool provide by CCSI or by login scripts/GPOs. The desktop agent collects system configurations, asset information (software and hardware), Microsoft patch status, S.M.A.R.T. hard drive statistics, and antivirus and anti-spyware information which are then sent to the Data Center Application. The CCSI Ultimate Desktop Care Agent is also responsible for executing patch and software deployments, uninstall routines, maintenance activities and remote control initiation. The Desktop Agent performs its responsibilities based on instructions received from the Data Center Application.
